What is orthokeratology?

Orthokeratology is the use of special contact lenses designed and fitted specifically by an optician or optometrist to temporarily reshape the cornea in order to improve vision. Orthokeratology lenses are worn at night whilst sleeping. 

Who can wear these glasses?

Orthokeratology lenses are suitable for most refractive errors (short-sightedness, long-sightedness and astigmatism). In Mayte Opticians, we assess each individual case to determine whether or not the patient is suitable for this technique.
